About Us
Georgia CORE is a statewide nonprofit reducing the burden of cancer through research, education, and advocacy. We are a convener and connector for Georgia’s cancer care community, working to increase access to clinical trials and potential new treatments for patients, resources for the cancer community, and screenings and prevention services for all Georgians.
Our Purpose
Cancer is Georgia’s second-leading cause of death, yet many of its devastating effects are preventable or controllable and almost always treatable when detected early. Though Georgia offers great cancer care and promising advancements in research, there remain disparities in access to cancer screening and treatment.
Georgia CORE was created so that cancer patients can get the most innovative, life-saving care close to home.
Clinical trials offer great promise for controlling cancer and its progression, and navigation and survivorship services enhance quality of care for patients and quality of life for survivors.
