Improving cancer outcomes by connecting screening, diagnosis, and treatment
The Early Detection & Treatment Workgroup brings together healthcare professionals, public health partners, researchers, advocates, and survivors to improve the path from cancer screening through diagnosis and treatment. The workgroup focuses on increasing the use of recommended cancer screenings, strengthening follow-up after abnormal results, reducing delays in diagnosis and treatment, and expanding access to timely, evidence-based care. Members collaborate across disciplines and regions to identify gaps, share effective practices, and advance the priorities of the Georgia Cancer Plan. Together, we are working toward a Georgia where every person—regardless of where they live or their circumstances—has the opportunity to find cancer early and receive high-quality care.
