The Prostate Cancer Roundtable unites healthcare providers, researchers, public health leaders, and community advocates to improve awareness, screening, and treatment outcomes for men across Georgia. We work to promote informed decision-making about screening, expand access to early detection services, and address disparities that disproportionately impact African American men and other high-risk groups. Through education, collaboration, and targeted outreach, the roundtable is committed to ensuring that every man in Georgia has the information, resources, and care needed to detect prostate cancer early and live a healthy life.

Professor, Community Health & Preventive Medicine, and Director of the Cancer Health Equity Institute, Morehouse School of Medicine
A leading behavioral and implementation scientist, Dr. Rivers pioneers transdisciplinary research and digital health interventions to reduce prostate and other cancer disparities among African American and rural populations. Funded with over $30M in NIH and PCORI grants, he also co-leads PACHE and ACS equity initiatives—working toward an NCI-designated cancer center rooted in health equity.
